Two weeks ago we went to Disneyland and it was the best vacation. We got to the park before the spring break crowds arrived and it was absolutely perfect weather and perfect timing. I’m still thinking about that vacation, that’s how you KNOW it was a good one. I’m still putting together our guide to travel there, but this is what we use every day!
Our first day we went to Disneyland and I knew we had to be prepaRed for a lot of walking and standing. Luckily it was beautiful outside in the low 80s so it was hot but got a little cooler at night. I put on a t-shirt under a sweatshirt so I could take it on/off as the temperature changed and slipped into my trusty cutoff Shorts. I like to take my favorite things when I pack because I know they will Work. There’s nothing worse than coming up with something new and it doesn’t fit well. Oh, and these from Reebok? 10/10 I recommend them!! Especially for trips and trips to Disney! They didn’t rub or blister and were comfortable all day. I took a chance on these and used them for the first time on the trip and they didn’t rub off at all. I can’t give enough reviews about them.
I didn’t carry a bag this day, I just put my phone in my back pocket. We used mobile payment for everything and Bryan had his backpack and we had our stroller for the extra things we needed. It was nice not having that extra thing to go on because I tend to just sit things down and leave them.
At Gemma, I bought her oversized shirt from Zara and paiRed it with some cycling Shorts and our trusty Nike sneakers. In the morning and at night he wore her jean Jacket. This was perfect because she could move and run and it was comfortable for her.
I’ll speak for Bryan here though he Dressed himself hahaha. He wore his favorite ensemble from Lululemon, again reliable pieces that he knows are comfortable and Work well. He also tucked a T-shirt under it just in case. (And yes, matching outfits for men are all the rage!) We all wear comfy slippers, and we don’t regret it.
Another 10/10 recommendation is this H&M Dress I wore to Disney. It was HOT today and this cotton dress couldn’t have been more appreciated. Also, this is a $10 dress, so being in it all day, on and off walks, being outside, etc. I didn’t feel bad if I got something on it, you know? I actually sat on something sticky at one point and was able to remove the stain when I got home. So this $10 dress is a hidden gem in my Book. (I’m in the middle). It’s a bit low-cut on the arms, but I ended up wearing a sports bra this day for comfort and it was fine. I paiRed my oversized jean Jacket with this for cooler times, but overall I ended up wearing just the dress all day. These New Balance are GREAT sneakers but not for
r all day at Disneyland. I have the worst blister on the bottom of my foot that I still can’t talk about. They rubbed huge blisters on the back of my ankles. Like they’re cute but they’re not an all day/amusement park shoe, okay? Recommended for outfits or as normal clothing, not for the whole day.
I also brought my Lululemon crossbody Fanny pack (it’s under $40!) this day because I didn’t have any pockets in my dress and I like being able to put my phone somewhere. This bag was perfect for this because I could store my phone in it and grab it quickly. I kept my Sunglasses and phone in this back and it came in handy!
But we’re all here for Gem’s outfit, right? Okay, so his SKIRT is from Zara, but I found a similar one from Old Navy! And his Top is also from Zara, but I found a similar Top at Mango or Gap Kids! We matched the same Nikes, but I actually wanted to match his converses with this look. Either way, you can’t go wrong with some tulle and a cute sneaker on a little boy. Under his shirt we paired a tank Top and it was perfect because when he took off the Long Sleeved shirt, his outfit still looked complete. Especially with Minnie’s ears 😉
Sorry I didn’t get a better ‘suit’ photo for Bryan! ) To be honest, we had so much fun that I forgot to capture the content. Although that is literally my job. :/) Bryan wore a Zella training Top which was great because it was a warmer day. He then paired himself with a pair of easy Shorts and a different pair from Nike. I also didn’t mention this, but Bryan took his backpack and that’s where we keep our reusable water bottles, big camera, Sunscreen, etc. I’ve linked everything below!
Remember when I said we were having so much fun I forgot to take pictures? Yeah, that was day 3. So thank goodness for iPhone photos, right? I started this day with an oversized sweatshirt that I bought at Disneyland a few days before and my favorite biker shorts from Lululemon. In fact, I would suggest that if you want to wear Disney-themed items like this hoodie but don’t have any before your trip, then look for something that’s there. Disneyland has it all, trust me, and it’s fun to buy something while you’re there and have a souvenir of the trip. I had purchased Amazon options but ended up returning them because I liked the Disney options better.
This day was cooler so I kept my sweatshirt on for most of the day until late afternoon. My H&M top, which I sized up to an XL to make it bigger, was perfect because it was light enough as a layer and Worked well when I was hot. I switched back to my Reeboks for the last day because these are literally the best and went back to my Lululemon crossbody bag because it had no pockets.
At Gem’s, I combined her Disney sweatshirt (again from Zara) with some jeggings because it was much cooler that day. I brought her Target skort in case she got hot and I’m glad I did. We changed at noon. (The skort is one of our Target favorites, by the way. She wears the XS.) I matched a red t-shirt in case she was hot, but we could see that she was like Minnie Mouse with her red and Black ears. But as you can see, she won me over by getting the sparkly unicorn ears that definitely clashed with the red. The best plans, ya’ll. We put on his Converse again and they were great!
Bryan wore an Alo top and his Outdoor Voices shorts, which are some of his favorites by the way. He’s had them for 5 years and they still look brand new and I wash them literally every week. (Just a little plugin for OV). Bryan was very smart about wearing sportswear because she was comfortable and sweat-wicking. 10/10 recommended.
As far as getting around, we took this stroller here and it was perfect. We were able to get around the park quickly and there was plenty of “stroller parking” when we needed to drop off. I would definitely recommend a stroller for little ones, even up to 6 years old. It’s really helpful because they can get tired easily and it’s a good rest for them!
